Japfa today announced that its subsidiary, Japfa Comfeed, is expected to book a net loss in the first quarter.
This is due to the continuing weakness in the poultry market and in the purchasing power of low-income consumers.
The firm will also book a translation loss from PT Japfa Comfeed’s US dollar loans as a result of the 5% drop in the Rupiah to USD exchange rate as at 31 March 2015.
