SIA app adds Android, Apple payment options

Users will be able to pay for tickets and fees with the new feature.

Singapore Airlines (SIA) added Android Pay and Apple Pay to its mobile app to allow its users to conduct cashless transactions.

According to a press release, customers would now be able to pay for airline tickets, redeem booking-related fees and purchases with the new feature.

The app will also allow users to make transactions without the requirement of filling in payment information, because Android Pay accounts already have the necessary information on card details. Meanwhile, Apple Pay will make use of a unique device account number stored in the mobile device.
