SIA Engineering, Air India Engineering ink deal for MRO services

Both will offer services to airports in India.

SIA Engineering (SIAEC) and Air India Engineering Services Limited (AIESL) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services in India.

According to a press release, the two firms will offer line maintenance, ancillary services, and engineering training in airports in India. Both will offer services to both domestic and foreign airlines in the country.

The collaboration will play on AIESL's infrastructure and resources in India and SIAEC's MRO offerings including capabilities for new-generation aircraft.

SIAEC chief executive officer Png Kim Chiang said, "SIAEC is delighted to enter into this collaboration with AIESL to expand into the India market. This collaboration will allow SIAEC to offer our integrated MRO and Technical Support solutions to airline customers."
