Tigerair’s number of passengers inch up 0.4% to 470,000 in December

Capacity also slipped 1.4% to 1.02b ASK.

Tigerair’s traffic dipped 1.4% YoY to 877m revenue passenger-kilometres (RPK) in December 2015, according to a report by the airline.

Meanwhile, capacity also slipped 1.4% to 1.02b available seat-kilometres (ASK). Consequently, YoY passenger load factor increased by 0.1% percentage point to 86.2%. The number of passengers carried increased by 0.4% YoY to about 470,000.

For the 12 months to December 2015, traffic tapered by 3.6% YoY to 9.5b RPK, while capacity decreased by 5.3% to 11.5b ASK. Consequently, passenger load factor was 1.4pp higher at 82.4%. The number of passengers carried dipped by 3.6% to 5.1m.
