Singapore Airlines promotes Western Australia

Singapore Airlines promotes Western Australia

Singapore Airlines partners with TWA to fund marketing campaigns and promote inbound tourism to Western Australia.

Singapore Airlines and Tourism Western Australia (TWA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to jointly promote tourism to Western Australia.

Under the three-year partnership, Singapore Airlines and TWA will jointly fund marketing campaigns and actively promote inbound tourism to Western Australia by way of Singapore Airlines’ services between Singapore and Perth.

“We are privileged to work with TWA and the forming of this strategic partnership is testament to our strong commitment to the Australian market. With Singapore Airlines’ extensive network, I am confident that we will encourage more visitors to see the beautiful sights and attractions Western Australia has to offer,” said Mr Goh Choon Phong, Singapore Airlines’ Executive Vice President, Marketing and the Regions.

Stephanie Buckland, TWA’s Acting Chief Executive Officer, said that the focus in the first year would be on three key international markets for Western Australia – Germany, Singapore and China.

“Our Experience Extraordinary campaign ties perfectly in with these markets because visitors from these countries seek something a little different,” Ms Buckland said, in a SIngapore Airlines report.

“Nowhere else in Australia can you find a city with 3,000 hours of sunshine per year or visit one of Lonely Planet’s top ten regions of the world – Australia’s South West.”

As one of the largest international airlines operating to Australia, Singapore Airlines has worked extensively with all the other major Australian tourism bodies to promote the country as a destination of choice to travellers all over the world.

Singapore Airlines has a long history in Australia dating back 40 years. Currently, the Airline operates a total of 93 weekly flights to five major cities, including 18 weekly services to Perth, 19 weekly services to Brisbane, 21 weekly services to Melbourne, 7 weekly services to Adelaide and 28 weekly services to Sydney.
