Thai Tiger aborted

THAI, Tiger Airways and Ryanthai have decided not to proceed with the incorporation after failing to obtain the necessary investment approvals.

An update provided by Thai Airways International Public Company Limited, Tiger Airways Holdings Limited and Ryanthai Limited said THAI has been unable to obtain the necessary investment approvals from the relevant government authorities in Thailand.

As a result, the three have agreed not to push through with the establishment of Thai Tiger despite the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on 2 August 2010 and the signing of the Shareholders’ Agreement on 28 February 2011.
