SIA appoints Siva Govindasamy as vice president for public affairs

Govindasamy will replace Nicholas Ionides, who has been with the airlines for 10 years.

Singapore Airlines (SIA) appointed Siva Govindasamy as its new vice president, public affairs, taking over their corporate communications portfolio from Nicholas Ionides.

Govindasamy has been Airbus' senior communication manager Asia-Pacific, and was a journalist for over 16 years. He graduated Bachelor of Social Sciences in Political Science from the National University of Singapore.

Ionides, who has been working with the Airlines for more than 10 years, will leave by late October to pursue another career opportunity.
