KPMG Services threatens to sue Jason Holdings over $41,000 unpaid tax invoices
The deadline of payment lapsed a week ago.
Jason Holdings Limited will have to act promptly on a demand it received from KPMG Services, else it will confront a legal case for unpaid tax invoices amounting to $41,000.
In its announcement on SGX, Jason Holdings revealed it received a letter of demand from KPMG on 30 August 2016. The letter stated that KPMG may commence legal proceedings if payment is not made.
The deadline for payment as stipulated in the letter already lapsed on 9 September 2016.
“The directors are of the view that the claim will have a material adverse impact on, inter alia, the financial position, the financial performance, business and operations of the group,” Jason Holdings said.
The group appealed to company shareholders and potential investors to exercise caution when dealing in the shares of the company.
