Rotary Engineering snaps up $64m worth of O&G projects
It accepted small contracts in Middle East and APAC regions.
Despite a distressed oil and gas (O&G) industry, mainboard-listed O&G company Rotary Engineering Limited nabbed projects amounting to $64 million for the period of June to September 2016. This is thanks to small yet varied and steady jobs beyond tank storage construction.
According to Rotary, many of the new contracts require integration of several engineering and construction skills such as piping, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation, metal and alloy fabrication, and HVAC (heating, ventilation, air-conditioning).
“A key project was awarded as the main contractor for the extension of a chemical storage and handling facility in the United Arab Emirates. The work scope included mechanical and piping, electrical and instrumentation, firefighting works, civil and structural works, utilities and HVAC works,” Rotary said.
Aside from its UAE project, the group won two contracts in Thailand for fabrication works of O&G production-related modules. It also bagged an engineering, procurement, construction (EPC) work for the revamp and capacity expansion of a grease manufacturing plant in Samut Sakorn province.
