Tiong Woon bags contract for largest sea water desalination plant in Singapore

Work on the project will commence shortly and is scheduled to be completed by the end of December 2012.

Tiong Woon Corporation Holding Ltd announced that its subsidiary, Tiong Woon Oasis Marine & Engineering Pte Ltd has recently signed a contract for Tuaspring Desalination Plant in Singapore.

The contract is signed with Hydrochem Pte Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hyflux Ltd. Hydrochem Pte Ltd is the EPC contractor for the Tuaspring Desalination Plant. For confidentiality reasons, Tiong Woon is unable to disclose the contract amount.

The scope of work involves laying of marine intake and outfall pipeline works, construct and launch intake towers, laying of outfall pipeline, construct and launch outfall diffuser, revetment temporary works and reinstatement and construction of collection tank outflow pipes. Work on the one-year project will commence shortly and is scheduled to complete by end December 2012.
