China New Town Development's Director retires

Loh Weng Whye was also Nominating Committee Chairman, Audit Committee Member, and Renumeration Committee Member.

The Board of China New Town Development announced the retirement of Loh Weng Whye as Director. Mr. Loh has retired as an Independent Non-executive Director of the Company at the Annual General Meeting of the Company held on 30 April 2012.

Mr Loh's role is particularly important in reviewing and monitoring the performance of executive management in meeting the Group’s agreed goals and objectives and ensuring that the strategies proposed by the executive management are fully discussed and rigorously examined taking into account the long-term interests, not only of the shareholders but also of employees, customers, suppliers and many communities in which the Group conducts businesses, according to a China New Town Development report.

Mr. Loh, 65, was appointed to the post 25 September 2007.
