ST Engineering names Khoo Boon Hui Non-Executive Director

Khoo also appointed risk review committee member behind degree and experience in Enginering and Public Administration.

Singapore Technologies Engineering Ltd (ST Engineering) on Monday announced the appointment of Mr Khoo Boon Hui as a non-executive independent Director of the Company with effect from 1 September 2010. Upon his appointment, Mr Khoo will also be appointed a Member of the Risk Review Committee.

Mr Khoo, 56, a Singaporean, is the Senior Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Engineering Science & Economics) degree from Oxford University and Master in Public Administration from the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University. He attended the Advanced Management Program at Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 2002, according to an ST Engineering report.

Mr Khoo was appointed Commissioner of the Singapore Police Force (SPF) in July 1997, after serving 20 years in SPF. In February 2010, Mr Khoo relinquished his appointment as Commissioner of SPF to take on the appointment of Senior Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs, overseeing the strategic development of regional and international collaboration, including capacity development initiatives across Singapore's law enforcement agencies. Mr Khoo brings to the Board his knowledge and perspective of strategic issues and in particular those relating to homeland security.
