Thailand's GDP expands by 3.9% in 2017

It is an improvement from 3.3% in 2016.

Thailand’s gross domestic product (GDP) expanded by 3.9% in 2017, buoyed by growth in export, private consumption, and total investment.

The National Economic and Social Development Board (NESDB) reported that the country’s export value surged from 0.1% in 2016 to 9.7% in 2017.

Meanwhile, private consumption and total investment grew by 3.2% and 0.9% in 2017, respectively.
