Google is most attractive employer brand in LinkedIn rankings
Followed by Apple and Unilever.
Singaporeans and other LinkedIn users around the world are most familiar and most interested in working for these three brands, according to the business social network's InDemand Employer rankings.
Procter & Gamble, and Microsoft rounded out the top five.
The rankings determine the world's most sought-after employers based on brand reach and engagement among prospective employees. The rankings were determined by analyzing more than 25 billion member and company interactions from LinkedIn’s 240M+ members, including more than one million in Singapore.
LinkedIn noted that this year, 42% of the 2013 Most InDemand employers are located outside the U.S., compared to 32% last year.
Other interesting insights include how Technology and Packaged Consumer Goods companies – like Google and Unilever – dominate the top 10. Meanwhile, 16 Oil & Energy companies made this year’s list, compared to 10 companies last year, including Shell which entered the top 10.
Amazon broke into the top 10 as well thanks in part to the tripling its followers on LinkedIn over the past 12 months
At #99, Stockholm-based Spotify is the smallest company to make this year’s list.
LinkedIn estimates that a strong talent brand can halve a company’s cost-per-hire and reduce employee turnover by up to 28%, and which should convince employers to enhance their brand.
