Singapore's manufacturing output surged 19.1% in August
The electronics cluster's output rose 38.7%.
Singapore's manufacturing output for August surged by 19.1% YoY, the Economic Development Board (EDB) said.
According to a press release, manufacturing output growth, excluding biomedical manufacturing, also rose 17.8%.
The electronics cluster's output hiked by 37.4% on a yearly basis.
The biomedical manufacturing cluster's output also went up 25.1%.
Precision engineering cluster output grew 10.7%.
Transport engineering and chemicals clusters also showed some growth at 5.5% and 1.8% each.
Only the general manufacturing cluster showed a decline in output by 0.6%.
