BHP Billiton to vacate 100,000 sqft of office space at Marina Bay

It is planning to spin off much of its metals production.

BHP Billiton is giving up space at Marina Bay Financial Centre Tower 2, and renting two floors at Capitaland’s new office tower CapitaGreen.

According to Bloomberg, BHP plans to split off assets including its silver, manganese and aluminum operations into a newly formed company called South32 Ltd. to focus on larger businesses such as iron ore.
