PACC Offshore clinches deal to provide accommodation support for world's largest offshore facility
The 750-pax POSH Arcadia will be deployed to the Shell Prelude FLNG project.
Offshore marine services provider PACC Offshore Services revealed that it has been awarded a
contract by Technip Oceania to support Shell’s Prelude floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) facility, the world's largest offshore facility.
The project will utilize PACC Offshore's semi-submersible accommodation vessel (SSAV), the 750-person POSH Arcadia.
The POSH Arcadia will be deployed to provide accommodation support for the hook-up and commissioning phase of the Shell Prelude FLNG Project in the Browse Basin, off the north-west coast of Western Australia.
This is POSH’s second contract for the Prelude FLNG Project. In January 2016, the POSH Terasea joint venture, comprising POSH and Terasea Pte. Ltd., was appointed to provide towage and positioning services for the facility.
The latest contract award is not expected to have a material impact on the net tangible assets or earnings per share of the Group for the financial year ending 31 December, 2016.
