Shell to keep refinery shut during investigations

And it won’t be opened until Shell is confident that it is safe to do so.

Royal Dutch Shell Plc shut down the Pulau Bukom plant after the fire started on September 28. Fuel shipments were also suspended, and the oil company is said to be talking to customers over their supply needs.

Meanwhile Shell spokeswoman Serene Loo was quoted in a Bloomberg report as saying, “We do not expect any of the units to be restarted until a thorough investigation has been done and we are confident that it is safe to do so.”
