Ascendas Property Fund Trustee appoints Tan Choon Siang as chief financial officer

He was appointed on 28 July 2017.

Mr Tan will oversee the financial operations of APFT, in its capacity as Trustee-Manager of a-iTrust, and its subsidiaries. This includes financial compliance and reporting, financial management, corporate finance and treasury management.

Mr Tan was the head of Corporate Finance & Treasury at Ascendas-Singbridge Pte Ltd since April 2016, where he oversaw the Group's corporate finance and treasury activities across the region.

Prior to that, he was the vice president of Corporate Finance at Genting Singapore Plc, a company listed on the Main Board of the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited. At Genting Singapore, he was responsible for the company's investments, financing and treasury functions. Mr Tan joined Genting Singapore in 2011 and held various positions within the company including vice president of investments and director of Corporate Planning.

Between 2006 and 2011, Mr Tan was at Goldman Sachs in Hong Kong and Singapore where he was an executive director in the Securities Division.

Mr Tan holds a Master's Degree in Economics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
