Top 10 must see events at world gourmet summit

It will run from April 16 - 26.

The World Gourmet Summit (WGS) will showcase some of the best culinary cuisines courtesy of well-known kitchen geniuses and winery experts this April.

WGS is an international gastronomic extravaganza organised by A La Carte Productions Pte Ltd and supported by the Singapore Tourism Board (STB).

Here's a preview of some of the must-watch events:

Beringer wine dinner featuring Matt Moran - Beringer presents a night down-under with food and fine wines at The Prime Society. Australian Masterchef Matt Moran will be teaming up Chef Dallas Cuddy to create a special degustation menu. Price starts at $288.

Blend your own bordeaux majella wines featuring meat & lifestock Australia - Brian Lynn, wine maker from Majella Winery and consultant Robert Rees from Wine Exchange Asia will guide guests through the various distinct qualities which Merlot, Shiraz and Cabernet bring to the blended Bordeaux-style of wines. Prices are at $248+

Citibank gastronomic jam sessions - The second edition of Citibank Gastronomic Jam Sessions brings together a series of demonstrations presented by both visiting masterchefs and talented local personalities.

The stage will be set to present traditional to modernist cuisines, with chefs demonstrating  techniques, the latest approaches to enhancing existing methods, and the ideas behind their creations. Price is at $70+ (1 day) and $120+ (2 days).

Hearts on Fire Edible Fashion Show & Chocolate Dinner - deZaan™ Gourmet chocolate meets fashion as a stellar team of pâtissiers led by master chocolatiers from Spain, Paco and Jacob Torreblanca, and Singapore’s Janice Wong, recently named Pastry Chef Of The Year at the 2013 Awards Of Excellence, create couture chocolate designs. Price: $250+

Isole e Olena Wine Dinner featuring Gabriele Ferron - Italian fine-dining at Forlino meets fine Italian wines from Paolo de Marchi’s Isole e Olena and the finest quality risotto produced and prepared by Masterchef Gabriele Ferron. Diners will be treated to exceptional fare when Chef Ferron teams up with Forlino’s Chef Kentaro Torii, who is classically trained in Italian cuisine. Prices start at  $268+
