It consolidates five different software to address SMEs' needs.
Many small and medium businesses in the fitness, wellness and beauty service industries do not incorporate the use of basic software required to run and market their business due to the high cost of implementation, time required for training or are simply slow to adopt new technology. Instead, they continue to operate using traditional operational processes (e.g. physical records, customer lists on excel) and ineffective marketing tactics (e.g. print and flyer advertisements).
Activpass is the first Software as a Service (SaaS) platform that provides a true integration for small and medium businesses in the fitness, wellness and beauty service industries. According to Peter Seow, chief executive officer of Activpass, it effectively takes five different software (scheduling, customer relationship management, customer engagement, marketing and eCommerce) that businesses use, and consolidates them into one seamless and easy-to-use solution, for an affordable monthly fee of SGD 98 upwards
"While some businesses have acquired business software to assist them, the software purchased is generally good at managing only limited aspects of the business. There is no one platform that can help them to manage, monetize and market their business through one single login, platform and at an affordable price," says Seow. "The opportunity to be the go-to solutions provider for these merchants is where Activpass seeks to fill the gap and be the leader in changing how the industries work. Our goal is to be the largest business management and marketing platform for the fitness, wellness and beauty service industries in Asia."
In Singapore alone, the market sizes for the beauty and wellness service industry as well as the fitness service industry are estimated to be at S$500m and S$210m respectively. Activpass sees a huge opportunity for businesses in these industries to achieve exponential growth over the next five years.
"Beyond being an intelligent data and technology driven SaaS platform, one of the key differentiator for Activpass is that we have developed a complete online-to-offline (O2O) mobile marketplace that will enable businesses to promote their services and classes, receive bookings and payments from individual consumers," says Seow. "This eliminates the need for businesses to spend money to create their individual mobile app."
With the O2O mobile marketplace as the singular customer touchpoint, Activpass enables small and medium businesses to run smarter customer engagement campaigns by leveraging on data and location technology. Businesses can personalise the consumer experience by enabling consumers to discover promotions and offers within the vicinity in accordance to their preferences. Furthermore, the hassle of physical registration at a dance studio or beauty salon is now a thing of the past with the introduction of automated attendance taking using location technology.
To date, Activpass has a fast growing network of over 200 businesses and independent professionals offering over 500 services including personal training, rock climbing, golf, body rehabilitation, pre-natal massages, beauty and aesthetics treatments. In preparation for its official launch in the first quarter of 2017, Activpass has been onboarding an average of 100 service providers per month, and targets to have over 1,000 merchants on board by the end of 2017.
