GuocoLeisure launches four-star Amba brand
Amba Hotels will be Europe’s largest four-star brand with 2,088 rooms.
According to a report by OSK-DMG, the rebranding initiative is progressing well with the Amba brand officially launched yesterday as the group’s 4-star hotel offering. AmbaHotels will be Europe’s largest four-star brand launch with 2,088 rooms in London by 2016.
Charing Cross, which recently completed a major refurbishment programme, is the first hotel to be put under the new banner. Buckingham Palace, Marble Arch and Tower Bridge will follow suit.
Here’s more from OSK-DMG:
Separately, refurbishment of its 5 flagship hotel properties in London, namely, 1) The Royal Horseguards; 2) The Tower Hotel; 3) Charing Cross; 4) Cumberland (Marble Arch) and 5) The Grosvenor, is on-going.
Charing Cross has seen a 10-20% uplift in its room rates following its AEI. The rest of the hotels will be retrofitted in phases and we expect the benefits of the AEI programme to flow through in the course of the next 2 years.
