2010 will be year for holidays for Singaporeans

Survey revealed more Singaporeans are planning their holidays this year compared to 2009, with regional destinations being more popular.

Almost half, specifically 42 percent, of the 400 people surveyed in Singapore responded that international personal air travel was a purchasing priority for them in the first two quarters of 2010. When asked to name the top countries participants are most likely to visit, Malaysia topped the list, followed by Hong Kong and Taiwan on a market-level basis.

The survey conducted by MasterCard Worldwide involved 10,623 consumers from 24 markets.
