First IR opens on 20 Jan 2010

Resorts World Sentosa will begin its opening in phases from that date, starting first with the opening of its four hotels.

Resorts World Sentosa’s four hotels - Festive Hotel, Hard Rock Hotel Singapore, Crockfords Tower and Hotel Michael - will offer a combined inventory of 1,350 rooms and 10 restaurant outlets at their opening. The other two hotels at the Resort, Equarius Hotel and Spa Villas, will add another 500 rooms after launching in 2010.

Operations began yesterday at two of its four hotels, as the resort opened with a lion dance and ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The date is ahead of Resorts World’s schedule for its opening.

The next to open will be Universal Studios Singapore, which Resorts World Sentosa is still obtaining approvals for. The opening date for the casino also remains unconfirmed until the Resorts World receives its casino licence.

Room and restaurant reservations will begin at 1000 hours on Monday, 11 Jan 2010.
