MediaCorp to broadcast National Day live

The coverage will be shown on TV on 9 August and simulcasted on radio and online.

In a release, Singapore’s 47th birthday is celebrated with MediaCorp’s ‘live’ telecast of this year’s National Day Parade (NDP) 2012 on 9 August across multiple platforms from TV, radio, out-of-home to online.

Television viewers in Singapore can watch the ‘live’ parade proceedings on Channel 5 and in high definition on HD 5 from 5.20pm to 8.10pm. Viewers can also catch the action on Channel 8, Channel U, okto, Suria, and Vasantham from 5.50pm to 8.10pm. Viewers in Asia will also be able to catch the NDP ‘live’ on Channel NewsAsia International (CNAI) from 5.50pm to 8.10pm Singapore / Hong Kong time.

MediaCorp’s radio stations will cover the parade ‘live’ over 938LIVE, Capital 95.8FM, Warna 94.2FM and Oli 96.8FM from 6.00pm to 8.00pm in English, Mandarin, Malay and Tamil respectively.

For those on the move, you will be able to catch the live screening of the Parade on the outdoor digital screens managed by MediaCorp at ION Orchard, Orchard Central, *Scape, Bugis Village and JCube from 5.20pm to 8.10pm. The ‘live’ Parade proceedings will also be beamed on 55-inch LED TV screens at 17# of our bus-stop locations around town.

Viewers who are unable to catch the ‘live’ broadcast of the Parade may view them through Catch-up TV on xinmsn.com/ndp2012 for Channel 8 and Channel 5 from 10 August 2012. Encore telecasts are as follows:
