BASIC FUNCTION
Responsible for providing leadership and direction on all assigned technical projects by ensuring follow through from beginning to end. Candidate must ensure overall progress ofassigned project from inception to implementation. The successful candidate should be a self-starter with excellent communication and time management skills. They must show initiative and have demonstrated problem solving skills.
MAJOR JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
Area of responsibility – overview
Provide leadership and direction on all assigned technicalprojects or project tasks, ensuring follow through from beginning to end, which may include coordination across business segments while ensuring adherence to establishedcorporate and departmental policies and procedures
•Ensure overall progress of assigned projects from initiation to implementation
•Review with, and provide recommendations to management on all project aspects toensure buy-in
•Continually build internal relationships with departments or business segments tofacilitate cooperation and project completion
•Determine skill set necessary and work with management to build the project teambased on project scope and expectations
•Keep up-to-date with assigned business segment products and services
•Assist with maintaining established standards and approaches for each project (e.g.status reporting, issue management, change control, etc.) and communicating to teammembers and stakeholders
•Provide management with status reports detailing status and timelines throughout assigned project
•Evaluate and thoroughly document requirements with project team, which includesmaintaining the project traceability matrix, evaluating all project aspects, (e.g., staff,costs, benefits, timelines, etc.), and updating project plan and project documentationthroughout the project lifecycle
•Identify project risks and develop contingency plans for those risks
•Create and maintain project files that are well documented, efficiently organized, andadhere to departmental policies and procedures for each phase of the project
•Continuously monitor tasks and project assignments in progress, ensuring projectschedule is being met and schedule changes are addressed and communicated byestablished deadlines
•Communicate any schedule changes to affected parties while continually performingrisk assessment
•Ensure project is ready for implementation and conduct a post-project review to ensureall aspects of project have been thoroughly documented and completed
•May oversee the transition of the project from development to production support
Project Assistance - Participate in the activities associated with a variety of departmental projects ensuring established timelines are met
•Prepare reports, material and documentation as requested
•May update project plan
•Create and maintain organized project files
•Provide project lead with status reports throughout assigned projects detailing project status and timeline

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Incumbents will be expected to master the following knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform this job.
•Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
•Intermediate knowledge of MS Project and SharePoint preferred
•Project Management Professional (PMP) certification advantageous
•Intermediate knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) may berequired based on departmental need
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants for this job will be expected to meet the following minimum qualifications.
Education
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science or MIS required. Equivalent work experience in a similarposition may be substituted for educational requirements
Experience
Minimum of three years increasingly responsible project management experience
required with an emphasis on technical capabilities preferred
Location
Base in KL, Malaysia
