FormFactor opens facility and global business centre in Singapore

Nasdaq-listed FormFactor opened its new wafer probe card manufacturing facility in the city-state to reduce product cycle times and diversify supply of its product components.

The accompanying business centre meanwhile will support its global operations and infrastructure in the region as well as enhance its customer service. The company expects to employ approximately 300 people in its first phase of growth over the next two years with jobs in the areas of design and manufacturing engineering, supply chain management, global finance positions, and other corporate and regional support functions.

"With these new resources we take another step toward our goal to become a more local supplier," said Mario Ruscev, FormFactor CEO. "We see this expansion as an important milestone in our efforts to improve responsiveness in the region and to better serve all of our customers."

FormFactor, Inc., headquartered in Livermore, California, is involved in the manufacture of advanced wafer probe cards used by semiconductor manufacturers to electrically test ICs.
