China Fashion Holdings names Dr Sherwin Zhang as Executive Director
During Dr Zhang's assignment as the General Manager of Jabung Block, the production more than double from 23,000 boe/d in 2003 to 58,000 boe/d in 2011.
The Board of China Fashion Holdings announced the appointment of Sherwin Zhang as Executive Director. The Nominating Committee has recommended the appointment of Dr Sherwin Zhang as an Executive Director of the Company. The Board has approved his appointment based on his qualifications and work experience. The Board is of the view that Dr Sherwin Zhang could contribute to the Company’s strategic growth with his experience in the oil and gas industry.
In addition to the roles and functions of an Executive Director of a listed company, Dr Sherwin Zhang's key responsibilities are the strategic development of the company in the Oil and Gas industry and overseeing the operations of the KSO asset in Indonesia.
Dr Zhang, 44, has been working in oil and gas industry for 20 years. Over the last 10 years he has worked as the General Manager, Chief Representative, Senior Consultant and Production Manager in several producing, development and exploration blocks in Indonesia and Pakistan. His experiences cover all operational aspects in running oil/gas assets including Corporate Governance, Project Management, Oil/Gas Field Operations, Planning and Economics, New Venture Development, Cost Control and Operation Optimization, etc.
During his assignment as the General Manager of Jabung Block, the production increases from 23,000 boe/d (barrel of oil equivalent per day) in 2003 to 58,000 boe/d in 2011 while the total Indonesia production decreases 10% during this period. The average success ratio of exploration/appraisal wells is one of the best among all blocks, according to a China Fashion Holdings report.
