STATS ChipPAC appoints Pasquale Antonio Pistorio as Director
Mr Pistorio is also the Honorary Chairman of Honorary Chairman, STMicroelectronics Group of Companies.
The Board of STATS ChipPAC, upon the recommendation of the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee, which had reviewed the qualification and experience of Mr. Pasquale Antonio Pistorio, has recommended a vote for the appointment of Mr. Pistorio as an Independent Director of the Company at its Annual General Meeting held on 23 April 2012. The resolution for the appointment of Mr. Pistorio was duly passed and approved by the shareholders of the Company, according to a STATS ChipPAC report.
Mr Pistorio is also was President & Chief Executive Officer of STMicroelectronics from 1987 to 2005 and President & Chief Executive Officer of SGS Microelectronica from 1980 to 1987.
This signals chemical firm Eastman’s commitment to its Asian clients.
