Gujarat business delegation in Singapore to strengthen trade and investments links
It aims to help investors explore business opportunities in the state.
A government delegation from the State of Gujarat, India, was in the country from 4-5 September 2014 in the run-up to the 7th Vibrant Gujarat Summit in January 2015. a biennial summit organised by the Government of Gujarat to help investors explore business opportunities in the state.
The trip was organised by the Government of Gujarat, Singapore Indian High Commission, the Confederation of Industry India and KPMG India, and supported by International Enterprise (IE) Singapore.
This visit aims to uncover business and trade opportunities between Gujarat and Singapore, and identify major areas of synergy for business collaboration across the industrial, technology and knowledge domains.
According to Wong Ken Mun, IE Singapore’s Centre Director in Mumbai, “Gujarat is one of the most pro-investment states in India. There is an opportunity for Singapore companies to tap into the urban solutions, energy and manufacturing sectors in Gujarat. This trip is the first step towards building interest among Singapore companies in the lead up to Vibrant Gujarat 2015.”
