SGX, TWSE tie-up lets Taiwan brokers directly trade locally listed stocks

It will make international trades more cost-effective.

Singapore Exchange (SGX) and Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) have teamed up for a strategic partnership where TWSE subsidiary Global Link Securities will join SGX as a remote trading member.

According to SGX’s announcement, the tie-up will allow TWSE member brokers to directly trade SGX-listed securities, and will make international trades more efficient and cost effective for Taiwan investors.

SGX AND TWSE will also launch a series of market education and awareness initiatives in Taiwan to allow both its institutional and retail investors to explore the investability and investment opportunities of Singapore’s equities market.
