SATS led the gains amongst top active stocks with a 7.26% expansion.
The Straits Times Index (STI) ended 45.47 or 1.65% higher at 2,796.97.
The top active stocks were DBS, which increased 3.64%, SIA, which fell 0.92%, OCBC Bank, which climbed 3.39%, UOB, which grew 3%, and SATS with a 7.26% expansion.
The FTSE Mid Cap rose 1.04%, whilst the FTSE Small Cap advanced 1.55%.
