Temasek buys $238m stake in US high-speed trading firm

They say it’s a 10% stake.

Temasek Holdings will buy about a $180 million or S$238m minority stake in Virtu Financial Inc., the U.S. high-speed trading firm.

According to a statement by Virtu, Singapore’s state-owned investment company will purchase a portion of the equity investment held by Silver Lake Partners LP. The statement didn’t give a price.

Virtu is known to have postponed an initial public offering this year.
