KhattarWong appoints Perry Yuen as head of Corporate and Securities Laws Department

His new role will take effect from 29 August 2011.

KhattarWong is pleased to announce the appointment of Perry Yuen as the Firm’s Equity Partner and Head of Corporate and Securities Laws Department with effect from 29 August 2011.

Perry has broad expertise in corporate finance, corporate restructurings and rescues, general corporate and commercial, asset/fund and wealth management, and advising on securities regulations. Recently, he has acted for SunMoon Food Company Limited in respect of its various corporate exercises and advised Orix Investment and Management Pte Ltd in a US$600 million Revolving Credit Syndicated Facility Agreement.

The 2010/2011 edition of The Asia Pacific Legal 500 on recommended corporate and mergers and acquisitions law firms and lawyers in Asia lists Perry as being “quick, sharp” and “provides thorough practical advice”.

Perry graduated from Brown University with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics and Economics prior to attending and graduating from law school at Oxford University with a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts.

Managing Partner Gurbachan Singh said, ‘Perry’s arrival will complement KhattarWong’s expansion of corporate practice expertise for clients and will continue to position the firm well in terms of addressing to clients with respect to their legal services both on local and international needs.’

Prior to joining KhattarWong, Perry managed the corporate finance practice at a boutique law corporation. Perry also serves on the disciplinary committee of the Singapore Island Country Club and on the Compliance Committee under the Singapore Institute of Legal Education’s Continuing Professional Development Scheme.
