Secura unveils consultancy deal in Chongqing
It marks its first foray into security consultancy in China.
In line with its goal to enter the largest and most visible developments in China, Secura nabbed its first security consultancy contract from Raffles City Chongqing.
The deal was awarded to the group through its subsidiary Soverus Consultancy and Services Pte. Ltd.
Under the contract, Soverus will assess the risks posed to the Raffles City Chongqing facility by criminal and terrorist threats, review and make recommendations to the security control measures, and provide additional information including schematic drawings and mitigation measures.
For Secura CEO Paul Lim this is to enhance the security of the integrated development.
Being one of the largest and most visible developments in Chongqing, we believe this is an excellent entry point into the vast and growing market for security services," he said.
Chongqing, Lim noted, is the third government-to-government co-development project between Singapore and China.
It has a total construction floor area of approximately 1.12 sqm. The development comprises a shopping mall and eight towers for residential, office, and serviced residence and hotel use.
"With our strong expertise and product knowledge, we are confident of meeting the expectations of this project and add value to the development This platform will be an ideal springboard to introduce our security consultancy expertise to the market,” he stated.
