Dato' Thambynathan Jasudasen joins ZICO Holdings names as director

He is a Singapore diplomat who retired from full-time diplomacy in September 2014 after 37 years of government service.

ZICO Holdings announced the appointment of Dato' Thambynathan Jasudasen as independent non-executive director.

Dato' Thambynathan Jasudasen, 63, was an Ambassador to Singapore Government from 1977 to 2014.

He continues with his diplomatic work as the Non-Resident Ambassador of Singapore to Ethiopia and the Singapore Representative to the African Union, according to a ZICO Holdings report.

He was Ambassador to France from 1997 to 2004, Myanmar from 2004 to 2006, Malaysia from 2006 to 2011 and High Commissioner to the United Kingdom from 2011 to 2014. His other experience with international organisations includes the United Nations in New York (1979-1981) where he worked on legal and non-legal issues such as the sixth (legal) committee, the Law of the Sea and the question of Cambodia. In Paris, he liaised with UNESCO and the OECD. In London, he sat on the Board of Governors (BOG) of the Commonwealth Organisation (2011-2014) including a term in the Executive Committee of the BOG.
