Sidley Austin welcomes Gerard Hekker as Singapore partner
He is one of the 26 newly-elected lawyers across nine offices worldwide.
According to a release, Sidley Austin LLP announced today that it has elected 26 lawyers in nine offices to its partnership effective January 1, 2013. These new additions to the Firm’s partnership practice across multiple disciplines, including corporate, litigation and regulatory, and represent a good cross-section of the Firm’s expansive capabilities.
In Singapore, Gerard Hekker has been elected to the partnership. His primary area of practice is Securities and his practice focuses on corporate finance, liability management, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and complex restructuring transactions. His clients have included public and private companies, financial institutions, governments and government-linked companies throughout the Asia-Pacific region including Indonesia, China, Hong Kong, India, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines and the United States.
