Keppel Land appoints Mrs Oon Kum Loon on Board

Mrs Oon’s 30 years of experience include development and implementation of a group-wide integrated management framework.

Keppel Land Limited has appointed Mrs Oon Kum Loon as a Non-independent and Non-executive Director on its Board, effective 1 September 2010, according to a release from Keppel Land.

Mrs Oon, 59, has been an Independent and Non-executive Director of Keppel Corporation Limited since 2004 and was also the chairperson of Keppel Corporation's Board Risk Committee and a member of its Audit, Nominating and Remuneration Committees.

A veteran banker with about 30 years of experience, Keppel said Mrs Oon has held a number of management and executive positions with the DBS Group including Chief Financial Officer (CFO) until September 2003.

Prior to the position of CFO at DBS, Mrs Oon was Managing Director and Head of Group Risk Management, responsible for the development and implementation of a group-wide integrated risk management framework as well as involvement with treasury and markets, corporate finance and credit management activities.

Mr Choo Chiau Beng, Chairman of Keppel Land, said, "We are privileged to have Kum Loon join us on the Board. Her wealth of experience in the financial sector as well as risk management will contribute significantly to further strengthen and grow Keppel Land."

Mrs Oon holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) from the University of Singapore.
