SLA unveils online portal for property owners

Users can view their title information with no charge.

In the efforts to provide ease for property owners in the city-state, Singapore Land Authority (SLA) launched online portal, MyProperty.

The site provides property owners access to information concerning their title deeds.

In a press statement, SLA said the site would enable property owners to view title information without having to purchase it via its Integrated Land Information Service.

"A fee of $5.25 to $16 is payable depending on the type of information required. A property owner checking on his own property title would also pay the same fees. With the launch of MyProperty, property owners can now view their own title information without charge," it explained.

Users can access the service by logging in at www.sla.gov.sg/MyProperty with their SingPass. It can be viewed on desktop and mobile devices.

Online service includes all private property titles and about 130,000 Housing and Development Building property titles that have been digitised.

Other features that would be rolled-out in the future include online alerts to owners if any document was lodged against their title, viewing of records related to property including mortgage documents, and updating personal data for serving of notices.
