Chart of the Day: Condo prices slip 0.6% in April

NUS Index said prices eased after rising 0.8% in March.

The flash estimates by the National University of Singapore (NUS) revealed that the overall Singapore Residential Price Index (SRPI) dipped 0.6% in April, from a growth of 0.8% in the previous month.

Price declines were also seen in condo units in central and non-central regions, down 0.5% and 0.7% respectively.

The Central region sub-basket comprises properties within the overall SRPI basket located in Postal Districts 1 through 4 and 9 through 11 while properties in the other postal districts are in the non-Central region sub-basket.

For small condo units, prices bucked the trend, registering a 0.7% uptick. However, small units price index moderated from a 1.3% growth seen in March.
