Chart of the Day: Foreigners snapped up 249 condos in Q2

This marked the first quarterly increase since July 2018.

This chart from OrangeTee & Tie show that the share of foreigners (non-PR) who bought non-landed residential properties in Q2 rose to 5.9% of the total transactions, or 249 units.

This marked the first quarterly increase seen since the cooling measures in July 2018. Mainland Chinese are the top foreign buyers last quarter, followed by buyers from Malaysia, India, Indonesia and USA.

Singaporeans continued to account for the lion's share of property purchases at 78.1%, according to URA Realis data.
