HDB resale prices down 1.9% in October

1,781 HDB flats were resold, 5.9% higher than the number last month.

The resale prices of HDB flats fell 1.9% YoY and 0.3% MoM in October, the Singapore Real Exchange (SRX) revealed.

According to flash data, the resale prices of HDB 3 Rooms and HDB 5 Rooms increased by 0.5% and 0.2%, respectively. Resale prices of HDB 4 Rooms remained the same and HDB Executive decreased by 0.9%.

Prices have declined by 12.5% since the peak in April 2013.

HDB resale prices in mature estates and non-mature estates went down by 0.5% YoY and 3.1% YoY.

SRX also said 1,781 HDB resale flats were sold during the month, 5.9% higher than the 1,681 units transacted in September. It also increased 5% YoY from 1,696 units resold last year.

Resale volume was down by 51.2% compared to its peak of 3,649 units in May 2010.
