HDB resale prices slipped 5% in May

A total of 1,575 units were transacted.

HDB resale prices dropped 5% year-on-year in May, data released by SRX Property showed today.

A total of 1,575 HDB units were resold during the month, up 19.3% year-on-year compared with 1,320 units resold in May last year.

SRX Property said that resale prices have declined 11% since the peak in April 2013. Year-on-year, prices in mature estates have declined 3.9%, while prices in non-mature estates have declined 6.0% from May 2014.

Resale prices were flat on a month-on-month basis. Resale prices of 3 and 4 Room Flats dropped by 0.2% and 0.9% respectively, while prices of HDB 5 Room and Executive Flats went up by 0.7% and 1.3% respectively.
