SingTel tops list of most respected local brands in SG

The telecommunications company is one of only three homegrown brands who shared the Top 10 list with globally-known conglomerates.

A survey commissioned by the Business Superbrands identified over 200 of Singapore’s most well-known and respected business brands across 23 different product and service categories.

Over 500 business people participated in the survey and ranked the brands according to their degree of being well-known and respected.

SingTel ranked fifth in the list topped by IBM and Microsoft. The other two local brands were Singapore Airlines and Starhub, which placed sixth and ninth, respectively.

SAP Singapore was named as the most respected B2B brand in the country.

Mark Pointer, CEO of Business Superbrands in Singapore commented: “A Business Superbrand has been successful in establishing the highest reputation amongst business decision makers and that is what is reflected in this survey… The ranking of SAP as Singapore’s most respected business brand reflects their increasing brand value in Singapore, and in today’s world, it’s not so surprising to see the list dominated by technology-related brands.”
