DFS Group exits Changi Airport's liquor concession

South Korea-based Lotte Duty Free will take over the concession.

Hong Kong-based luxury travel retailer DFS Group is making its exit from Singapore Changi Airport’s wines and spirits concession by 8 June, according to a press release.

Taking over the liquor and tobacco concession in the airport is South Korea-based Lotte Duty Free, after winning the tender conducted by Changi Airport Group (CAG) on 25 October. Lotte Duty Free expressed plans to redesign all 18 liquor and tobacco stores in phases.

Since winning the liquor and tobacco concession in 1985, DFS Wines and Spirits has operated stores across the airport, including Terminal 1, Terminal 2, the Duplex store at Terminals 2 and 3, and the first ‘walkthrough’ retail concept store at Terminal 4.

DFS will continue its Changi Airport operations in multi-label Fashion Avenue at Terminal 3 and various brand boutiques across Terminals 1-4, as well as at Harbourfront Cruise Centre, Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal and T Galleria at Scottswalk.
