Singapore's local fashion brands on the rise in 3Q
Four made their way to the city's key shopping districts.
The retail landscape in the Orchard area is slowly changing, with the increasing appearance of local fashion brands, notes Savills.
The home-grown womenswear label, Beyond The Vines, moved from a pop-up store to a 650-sq ft unit at Mandarin Gallery in June.
In July, the local jewellery designer, Choo Yilin, also opened her 1,000-sq ft boutique at Mandarin Gallery, the second outlet after the first at Joo Chiat.
K+, a multi-concept shop by Kinetic Singapore, carrying six local brands, has upgraded to a 4,300-sq ft permanent shop from a pop-up store in Scotts Square.
The local womenswear brand Yacht 21 also expanded to another 1,000-sq ft multi- label travel-lifestyle-themed store at Plaza Singapura and a 420-sq ft shop at Wheelock Place in September and October respectively.
