Courts Singapore appoints Phuong Dang-Vu Leleu as marketing director

Ms. Phoung undertakes strategic role in brand-building across the region.

Leading retailer of IT, electronics and home furnishing solutions, Courts, announces the appointment of Phuong Dang-Vu Leleu as Regional Director - Marketing. Phuong Dang-Vu Leleu will undertake strategic marketing projects both in Singapore and beyond and will play an instrumental role in developing and reinforcing the brand in tandem with the company’s aggressive expansion plans.

Phuong Dang-Vu Leleu brings with her extensive retail experience encompassing various portfolios such as strategy director, marketing director and buying director. Ms Phuong was previously with the PPR Group, a global organisation that specializes in luxury and lifestyle retail, as well as Groupe Casino, a multinational food retailer, including an experience with their subsidiary in Thailand, BigC.

A strong believer in innovation as a pathway to success, Ms Phuong was responsible for the development and implementation of two key levers of modern retail strategies – Customer Service Management (CRM) and category management – for blue-chip retailers. In her previous capacity as Marketing Director of BigC, Ms Phuong helped to strengthen the business and carved a niche point of difference through the use of state-of-the-art analytics and marketing tools.

Courts Singapore Chief Executive Officer, Terry O’Connor, commented, “Courts has big plans as we make our mark in the region in the months to come. We are glad to have Phuong on board in these exciting times, and we believe she will be vital in helping Courts reinforce our competitive edge and accelerate growth in the region.”

Ms Phuong reports to Terry O'Connor and is a member of the Executive Committee of Courts. The appointment came into effect on 16 January 2012.
