Sembcorp Marine: We’re not bidding for STX OSV stake

The company issued a clarification statement in response to a media report.

Sembcorp Marine, in a statement dated 18 January 2012, said:

Sembcorp Marine refers to the article entitled “Local yards may be STX OSV suitors” which appeared in today’s edition of the Business Times.

Sembcorp Marine wishes to state that currently it is not making a bid for the stake in STX OSV. Sembcorp Marine evaluates investment opportunities from time to time and will make the necessary announcements when appropriate.
