Jaya Holdings appoints Venkatraman Sheshashayee as Executive Director and COO

He is tasked for the promotion, development and extension of the business of the group.

The Board of Directors of Jaya Holdings appoints Venkatraman Sheshashayee as Executive Director/Chief Operating Officer. The Board was of the view that the senior management team of the Group needed to be strengthened by the appointment of an additional Executive Director cum Chief Operating Officer ("COO"), whose functions have to-date been handled concurrrently by the Chief Executive Officer ("CEO"). This addition will enable the CEO to devote more of his time to the strategic planning, business development and operations control of the Group. The Board, having noted that the Nomination Committee and the EXCO had reviewed the qualifications and experience of Mr Venkatraman Sheshashayee and had recommended his appointment as an Executive Director cum COO, has duly approved the said appointment, according to a Jaya Holdings report.

He is responsible for the promotion, development and extension of the business of the Company, its subsdiaries and associated companies (together the "Group"); the management of the Company's operations and the supervision of the management of other companies in the Group.

He was General Manager, COO, Director of subsidiaries of the Great Eastern Shipping Co Ltd and subsidiaries from 2004 to 2011 and General Manager - Marketing, Sales, HR of Akzo Nobel Coatings India Pvt Ltd from 1995 to 2004.
