Singtel upholds share of Bharti Airtel's provision at $357m

The telco says that it will be an exceptional item in its financial results for Q1 and FY2020.

Singtel stated that they will recognise its share of its Indian associate Bharti Airtel’s provision of a one-time spectrum charge amounting to $357m or $232m on a post-tax basis, a local bourse filing shared.

The telco says that it will be an exceptional item in its financial results for Q1 and FY2020 ending 31 March. The results are scheduled to be released on 28 May.

Bharti Airtel has recognised an amount of $1.1b (Rs56.4b) as an exceptional charge on account of reassessment of regulatory cost on a recent judgement on the said provision.
